Service Technician/Warehouse Associate

We are currently looking for a Full-Time Service Technician/Warehouse Associate for Human Care Canada for our Ottawa office.

What you’ll do:

  • Diagnose, repair and maintain medical equipment and mobility aids
  • Provide technical support (ie troubleshooting) to our dealer network and staff by responding to enquiries via phone or email with efficiency and appropriate urgency
  • Document repairs for processing with other departments
  • During busier times you will support the warehouse staff (Ability to lift 50lbs is required).

Experience:

  • 2-3 years’ prior experience as a service technician or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of home health care equipment considered an asset
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Competencies:

  • An ability to prioritize, multi-task and deal with competing priorities
  • Good personal organizational skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Customer Service Representative

We are currently looking for a Full-Time Customer Service Representative for Human Care Canada for our Ottawa office.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide front line support to our dealer network and Sales Staff by responding to enquiries via phone or email
  • Respond to all caller inquiries with efficiency and appropriate urgency.
  • Classify all documents and prepare orders for processing.
  • Investigate and follow up on errors/discrepancies in products ordered.
  • Perform quality assurance of data, files and correspondence.
  • Provide support for other departments within our organization on a as needed basis.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years’ experience providing customer service, preferably in a medical device office or showroom would be an asset.
  • 2 years’ call center experience
  • Must have an aptitude for providing successful customer interactions and an ability to show emotional intelligence, calmness, using proper telephone etiquette and active listening skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written in English and French
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel
